Turnip Day

Last Monday, the Athens FFA Chapter sent students to Springfield's USDA Community Garden to pick turnips for needy families. Turnip Day is an annual event and engages students in uprooting the plants and allows for a chance to develop good interview skills, as select members had the opportunity to be interviewed by News Channel 20. Thanks to all who gave up their time to better the communities around them and to Mr. Brown for chaperoning this trip.
