Last Wednesday was the Section 14 Parliamentary Procedure CDE. Athens placed 3rd overall. Lea Kissick placed first in the top floorman category, Justin Myers was second in the top chairperson category, and Abbigail Stuebs was third in the top secretary category.

The contest consited of two rounds. Round one was a written test over proper parliamentary procedure and part two consisted of a mock meeting.

For the mock meeting, contestants were given a card with a main motion and a highlighted incidentary, subsidiary, or priveldged motion that they were required to make. Members then had to properly present the main motion and their given motions in the correct format. The chairperson had to demonstrate correct decorum in running the meeting while the secretary had to show that she knew how to take good minutes.
